How to Install PHP in a Windows Cache

Most PHP developers use the Apache Web server service to render PHP pages. However, a PHP extension for Windows lets you use the Windows cache for PHP pages. The installation is a small file offered by Microsoft that you install on the PHP Web host. After the file installs, the modification does not require any PHP coding, but the speed of the PHP pages improve because of the cache modifications.

Difficulty:Moderate1

Open a Web browser and download the installation file for the PHP caching system. Download the file to your Web server.

2

Double-click the self-extracting EXE file stored on the server's hard drive. Select the "I Agree" answer in the license agreement screen. Click "Next."

3

Click "Install" to install the service. The service only takes a few seconds to install. After the installation completes, open Windows IIS Manager, right-click the website name and select "Restart."
